US CULTURAL EXCHANGE PROGRAM FOR LPU-CITHM TRAINEES
In line with LPU's commitment to foster its student's personal and professional growth, the University continuously provides work opportunities to acquire practical knowledge, skills and attitude through the US Work and Travel Internship Programs.
There were 41 CITHM students in the US Cultural Exchange Program last AY 2010-2011. The training provided them opportunities to become independent, more mature and to experience distinctive occupational skills in various partner establishments in the US.
An ocular visit of the CITHM student's living conditions was made by Ms. Rovena I. Dellova, Practicum Chairperson, who visited students in the United States last May 2011 courtesy of First Place Inc. Majority of the students are assigned in the F&B Department, Housekeeping, Concierge and Restaurants. Accordingly, industry partners prefer Filipino trainees because of their gracious and efficient service, and their being hardworking with positive work ethics.
